[The feed opens with a huge eye staring at the Gear before it zooms out. When it completely zooms out, though, it shakes and a curious voice purrs.]

Teddi--?

Teddiursa, don't play with that.

[Like a deer caught in head lights, the pokemon welps and drops the device. Its footsteps suggest that it just ran away.]

I'm not mad at you, okay? But you shouldn't take people's things without their permission. [The owner of the gentle voice picks up the Gear and now we see that it belongs to Takeru. He has a sheepish smile on his face when the angle of the Gear steadies.]

Hey, Johto. Sorry about that. I guess I'll just have to take this opportunity and ask something that I'm curious about, then. [With a wider smile this time, he holds up two stones. One's a fire stone and the other's a dawn stone.]

I used one of these before and it made Snorunt evolve into Frosslass. [Which will be proven by the way Frosslass calls out while clinging to his leg. He just gives a goofy smile at his pokemon who seem to really like him.] I know Jolteon evolved accidentally through a stone I found too, but-

[Hmmm] What do you think I should do with these extra ones someone at the Pokemon Center gave me? Should I use them on some of my pokemon, too? [But he really doesn't know which one... There's a thoughtful pause which is interrupted by the calls of his Pokemon.]

Whirl?

Vul--!

--Ah, right! You're all hungry. Okay, I'll get some food after this quick message- [But he turns his video function off so he can type a private message to someone important.]

[Private to Hikari]

Hikari-chan, are you free later? I need to talk to you about something.

We can even have ice cream while we're at it. My treat!

[His smile brightens when he receives her message.]

How about after lunch? We can meet at the nearby park if you want.

Okay! I'll see you then!

[And by 1PM, Takeru's waiting patiently under the shade of a tree in the park. He feels slightly nervous since he still doesn't know what he should say to Hikari or how he should bring it up. Of course he likes her, but does he like her enough to like like her?

Nonetheless, he gives an easy smile as he watches some kids playing with their Pokemon merchandise. Is it really because he's growing up?]

*Hikari smiles as she makes it to the tree in the park, waving as she sees Takeru before running up to him.*

Hi Takeru-kun! I didn't keep you waiting long, did I?

[His heart picks up a faster pace when he spots her, but he still smiles and gives a short wave.]

No, you didn't. I wasn't waiting that long, really. So, you wanna get some ice cream?

Sure, that sounds great!

*Though she really wondered what they needed to talk about. It could wait a little bit though, couldn't it?*

[It could since Takeru still doesn't have the nerves to bring it up straightaway. Maybe some ice cream will cool down these nerves, at least. As he lead Hikari to the nearest ice cream stand, he smiles at her.]

So, what flavor do you like? --Oh, let me guess... [This is when his smile turns playful.] Strawberry?

*Hikari giggles.*

Wow. How'd you guess Takeru-kun?

*It probably had something to do about you getting it a lot, Hikari.*

[Or the fact that he knows you too well? Takeru just smirks as he pays for the ice cream cones.]

Because we're close friends, Hikari-chan.

*Hikari giggles as she grabs the cone, smiling a bit.*

Yeah, I guess so.

So, you said you had something you wanted to talk about?

[And then she drops the bomb like that. Takeru offers a goofy, sheepish smile as he grabs his cone which is chocolate in flavor.]

Um, well... we've been really close for a long time, right? I was thinking... [At this point, his cheeks turn visibly pink. How does he even say this.] It's just that Daisuke-kun and I talked about feelings and...

*Hikari blinks, looking over at Takeru as he starts talking.*

Yeah, we have been pretty close.

*Wait, why is his cheeks turning pink and... oh. Oh!

Yeah, she's going to be blushing too and just staring and trying to think of what to say for a few minutes or so.*

[His cheeks continue to redden the further he thought of what to actually say. So far, after trailing off from his earlier statement, he doesn't know what to tell her, how to even continue his train of thought. He looks down at his ice cream cone before gazing back at Hikari.]

Daisuke-kun told me that... he can never compete with me and that it's obvious we are going to end up together. [He lets that sink in for a few moments before speaking up again.] At first, I really don't know why he'd say that until I realized how much... you're very important to me..

*Hikari frowned, looking over at Takeru and blushing for a moment as she listened to what he said.*

Daisuke-kun...

*She shook her head. He was so silly; no matter who she would've chosen if he were still here, there was never any chance of her feelings being something that he and Takeru-kun could compete for.*

... Takeru-kun? Do you... really mean that?

[What's with that expression? Did he say anything wrong? Takeru pauses, thinking of what he should do next until he gives a small smile of reassurance.]

Mm. [A nod as this smile turns a bit goofy.] I wouldn't say it if I didn't. [It should go without saying how much he means to her, really.]

*Hikari blinked, blushing a bit as she tried to figure out what she could say to that. Sure, she cared about Takeru at lot, but she cared about Daisuke the same way too...*

Takeru-kun... I...

I really need to let you know something.

*Now all she needed to do was work up the courage to actually say it.*

Oh, sure. [He blinks.] What is it?

[IS HE ABOUT TO BE REJECTED???]

It's just, I care about you a lot, in the same way. I really do.

*She frowns, biting her lip a bit.*

But... I care about Daisuke-kun too. Like, the same way you're talking about. It's... it's been really confusing me for a while.

[Well, that's a little surprising. He blinks, the ice cream cone he's holding slowly melting under the sun.]

Ah, I see... [Then again, why should it surprise him? Hikari has always been a caring person and developing feelings for his friend isn't too bad.] I'm sure Daisuke-kun would be happy to know that.

*She nods.*

He would. But not that I have feelings like that for you too.

Oh. [Well, keywords, Hikari. LOL. Kidding aside, Takeru doesn't know how to process this. He feels terribad for his friend, knowing that he gave up on her when she has feelings for him, anyway. He sort of wishes the redhead's here to hear this.

But Hikari's also right. Daisuke wouldn't like it too if he hears that she also has feelings for him. Somehow, that'd be trickier for his gogglehead friend who dislikes the competition.]

[Then, Takeru instantly remembered that he doesn't care about any competition, that Hikari can care for anyone (because she's naturally kind that way) and he shouldn't give it any second thought. Heck, why wouldn't she like Daisuke too when the redhead's been an amazing friend?

The important thing is, he has feelings for her and she has feelings for him too. And they're both in this moment where everything's out in the open. In a way, Takeru thinks it's very Hikari-like to care for them both and he can't help but admire her candid yet genuine feelings.]

I guess he wouldn't. [A pause as he takes her hand in a soft grasp while his lips form a gentle smile.] But for me, I don't mind it. It just goes to show how kind you are, Hikari-chan.

A*Wait he didn't mind? How could he not mind that?*

Takeru-kun? You really don't mind?

At first, I did. I mean who wouldn't?

[It's just but a normal reaction to this situation. Contrary to Daisuke believing he's Mr. Perfect, Takeru's far from it and he knows his flaws. He just continues to look at the brighter side of things rather than the bad ones.]

But I slowly realized that what should matter are our feelings for each other, right?
