[Video]

[The feed turns on abruptly to the sight of a well-dressed young man chasing after something.]

Emolga, come on! I need that-!

[The owner of the voice swims into view however briefly as he tries to catch what seems to be a flying, yellow pokemon. He only stops after a while, maybe because he's already tired. Slightly out of breath, we then get a glimpse of his face especially when he notices in his peripheral vision that his Gear is recording.]

Ah, sorry for that sudden broadcast, everyone. Emolga must have stepped on this while I was chasing him.

[He gives a sigh, a shake of his head and a lopsided smile before he turns off the feed.]

[Action]

[Takeru here is all dressed up (well, not really, just dressed up casually than usual) and will be waiting for his date in front of the pokemon center. He doesn't have a pokemon with him since this is a private affair so this is a little unusual for Takeru. Feel free to spot him and this slight change!]

[Well, Hikari's smiling widely, moving to Takeru. She stops right in front of him, that smile on her face getting all the wider.]

I didn't keep you waiting long, right?

[Aw, that smile. Why so cute, girlfriend?? He unconsciously fixes the edges of his shirt in a subtle attempt to calm his jitters.]

Ah, well, no, of course not. I wasn't waiting long at all.

[Because. That's why.]

That's good. It has to be pretty boring just standing out here and waiting.

[Her smile turns to a frown as her mind goes back to what happened earlier that day though. At least before she shakes her head and moves closer to him.]

Anyway, we should get going, right?

[He notices that frown but says nothing and smiles at her wider the moment she's closer to him. This prompts Takeru to take her hand in his.]

Yeah, I wouldn't want to be even more bored, right?

[Hikari blushes, but forces out a giggle as she squeezes his hand.]

Yeah. That wouldn't be good at all.

[He really likes that giggle so much so that he glances her way and he, too, can't help but blush.]

I... haven't told you yet how cute you look tonight, huh? [Wow, smooth move, Takeru. Maybe he needs lessons from Yamato. :|a]

[Hikari giggles more at that.]

[Another giggle, and moving closer to you, Takeru.]

Okay, so you did!

[She sighs, frowning a bit though as thoughts about what happened earlier today came back to her mind.]

I...

[She shakes her head. She was about to ask if he was okay after the attack, but he seemed fine. Seemed better than she did.]

Never mind.

[He notices the sudden shift in her expression that he frowns too. He knows about the attack, heard about it, and he tried to help but he was a little too late.]

Why? What's wrong?

I... I was just thinking about the attack earlier. I mean, no one was really seriously hurt, so I know I should just forget about it for a bit.

[She pauses, then let's out a sigh.]

... But I can't do that.

Oh, right. The attack earlier.

[He sighs too. Well, there goes his earlier happy mood.]

It was really unexpected and I wish... I could have done something.

[Hikari nods.]

Those pokémon. They were really powerful. A lot stronger than mine were.

[She sighs. So much for a happy Valentine's day.]

I thought that training to take on the gym leaders would be enough, that my pokémon and I would be able to get strong enough. But... it's not. It's not going anywhere near fast enough.

Well, we can always train harder, right? I heard other cities have training centers. Maybe we can go there. [This is only a suggestion, though.] I know some of my pokemon need to get stronger too.

[Hikari nods.]

Yeah. That's probably going to be a good idea. I'm going to ask about the Training Center in Celedon tomorrow.

[She knows that Riku has a lot of level 100's in his team, so at the very least, she could get some training tips from him.]

Alright, sounds like a plan. I'll come along with you.

[Takeru only has one level 100 pokemon, so.]

We should also ask Miyako-san if she wants to go too.

I'm pretty sure she will. Especially if both of us are going.

Then, it'd be an adventure! [A determined smile her way that slightly wanes.]

Is that all you're worried about? [He squeezes her hand gently in a gesture of comfort.] Anything more I can help you with?

[Hikari smiles, giggling a bit and squeezing his hand back.]

Yeah, that's really all I'm worried about right now. Thanks, Takeru-kun.

[Miyako crosses her fingers and waves them at the screen.]

Good luck tonight, Takeru-kun!

[Oh, Miyako. He gives her the calmest smile he can muster amid his anxiety.]

Thanks, Miyako-san. I hope I get prepared on time.

I'm sure you will! Take deep breaths and remember, you're dealing with your best friend here. You two will have fun.

Oh my, special night tonight?

[ Teasing. ]

[A lopsided smile comes her way the moment he notices her teasing.]

Ah, well, yes. It's a special night alright.

[ It doesn't bother her that he looked rather young. After all, she was engaged by the time she was 12. ]

[Oh my, so young!! Takeru's smile turns wider this time.]

Um, a little. But it can't be helped, right? [A beat.] By the way, my name's Takeru. May I know yours?

My name is Lacus. If I may ask ... who is your date for tonight?

Nice to meet you, Lacus-san. [A gentle smile.] And no, not at all. My date's Hikari-chan.

Hikari? Oh my! It's been a while since I last spoke to her!

[ Giggles. ]

I never knew she was in a relationship. I am very happy for you two. You seem like a very nice young man.

Oh, um... [A blush.] Thank you. [He wills this blush away, though, in preference to changing the topic.] How did you know Hikari-chan, by the way?

I talked to her a few times ... but it was a very long time ago.

Well, I'm sure she wouldn't mind talking to you again from time to time. Should I tell her your regards?

I would like that very much. The both of you have fun on your date.

[ Lacus will be spending it with her boyfriend too. ]
